I think I figured it out…🤔
“What’s that?” you might ask. Back in March 2022, I wrote an article on LinkedIn posing the question on ‘what 3 things best describe you and what you do’ and at that time I struggled to articulate what that looked like for me.
So a year ago today I took the decision to reflect on this question more deeply and explore and experiment with a world outside my narrow field of view. I’d been in the Automotive world and with Bosch for over 22 years, presented with countless interesting career opportunities, worked with some of the most talented people in this space and learnt more than I could have ever imagined - gratitude for Bosch, my team mates, my leaders, my peers and all those I worked with at the OEMs, yes gratitude is one word I’d use to express how I feel right now and there are too many people to mention, especially those who are sadly no longer with us.
And right now I also have a sense of clarity as I hang up my corporate career boots and enter a new world on my first day outside of Bosch.
Although I have no certainty on what tomorrow will bring, I’m excited at the prospect of being able to focus my attention on what I love most, doing the things which I’m good at, offering something of value to the world and ultimately making a reasonable income too! - this is my Ikigai
So in answer to my question from March 2022, I can conclude that I’m a passionate foodie and so from here on in you will find me…
🔹 …creating experiences which bring people together around food cooked from scratch in the form of retreats, kitchen takeovers and private events;
🔹 …launching a new street food concept for music and food festivals around the uk; and
🔹 …developing a range of hand crafted Indian spice blends
Specifically for this community, I’ve created a unique and interactive team building experience that draws on all three aspects, to assist organisations along their high performance journey.
So much more to share in the coming weeks. In the meantime, wish me luck 😊
